With funding from Sebrae, BNDES provides financing for micro and small companies – Worth Rich

Show entrepreneurs that with the right support they can grow and contribute to the development of their cities. This was the proposal of agents from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) who held, on Wednesday (3), in João Pessoa, an event aimed at entrepreneurs who want to learn about lines of credit and other financial solutions provided by the Bank. The event was sponsored by Sebrae/PB and other partner institutions.

The capital of Paraíba was chosen to restart the cycle of meetings “BNDES Near You”, an event that aims to connect the bank with small, micro and small companies to promote sustainable business development.

According to BNDES data, resources worth R107 billion will be allocated to small businesses in 2023. During this same period, 97% of the bank’s operations were aimed at micro, small and medium-sized companies.

The Superintendent of Sebrae/PB, Luiz Alberto Amorim, emphasized the importance of negotiating with government institutions, such as banks, in developing businesses, especially generating new business and job opportunities.

“Sebrae is involved in increasing the competitiveness of companies, especially in the consulting sector, so that companies can increase productivity and, through this, conquer new markets in the province, in Brazil and in the world”, he added.

The programs and lines of credit BNDES makes available to small and medium businesses were presented by the relationship manager in the bank’s president’s office, Arthur Pinto. He explained that this series of courses, which will be held in other cities across the country, aims to contribute to the development of local entrepreneurs.

“We want to bring together our partners and work in different sectors, from agriculture, commerce, industry and services, in every national area”, he said.

Other participants in the event were members of the State Negotiations Council (CDE) of Sebrae/PB, Marconi Medeiros (president of the Federation of Commerce of Paraíba), Gilson Frade (board of the Federation of Industry of the State of Paraíba) and Rosália. Lucas, secretary of Tourism and Economic Development of Paraíba.

The secretary pointed out the importance of cooperation between institutions in favor of businesses in the government.

“May we continue to bring products and lines of credit closer to the productive sectors of Paraíba in an environment that facilitates and attracts investment”, he added.
